File Rename Program – Making Holiday Photo Sharing Easy

As the year winds down, many people choose this time to look back over the things they've done with their family in the past 12 months. Your personal computer will help you out to this end by allowing you to play a slideshow of all those great pictures you've taken. It's much like having a computer-based scrapbook. But without organized pictures in your computer, this can be difficult to pull off.

Maybe you're looking at your computer architecture and have no clue where to find some of the great photos you've taken of the family in the past year. Perhaps it's time to sit down and start some file rename steps to make sense of all those photos. Don't panic quite yet thinking that means you're going to have to look at thousands upon thousands of files, individually, in order to make sense of all those pictures. When it comes to organizing, being able to look at the file name and know what a picture is is priceless. In this case, that means you want to change the names of all of those picture files to something that clearly explains what they are. This way as soon as you look at the filename you'll know exactly what those pictures are versus having to open each and every picture trying to find the right ones.

If you're like a lot of people you don't just have one photo type, but all sorts of file types when it comes to your pictures. Using your batch file rename program you can clean up this mess by converting all the photos to the same file type.

With a batch program it will not take long to rename all of the photo files on your computer, then you can easily pick and choose the events you want to show off and put them into a slideshow for the whole family to enjoy over the holidays.
