Go With a Vinyl Table Covering In the Dining Room
Everyone wants their dining room or kitchen table to look great. We make the extra efforts of buying nice silverware and glassware, and we'll usually adorn our table with some nice trimmings too.
One of the things that we recently bought was a vinyl tablecloth, and it's possibly the most useful accessory that we've added to our home in quite some time. I have my reasons for this, and I'd like to share them with you if you've never enjoyed the ease that vinyl offers.
The best way to appreciate the benefits of going with vinyl might actually be by pointing out the weaknesses of the other types. If you've ever owned a tablecloth yourself, you've probably had to deal with working food and drink stains out of the material.
While it's true that stains can usually be fought off (with the exception of a bad red wine spill), you may end up having to apply solution, have it dry cleaned, or do anything else that leaves you without your tablecloth and having spent some time and money.
Additionally, any household with children knows the risks that come with a tablecloth. When your kids are at the table, they'll frequently tug at the ends of it. This can easily lead to drinks and food spilling on it, and worse yet, broken dishes.
As far as a vinyl tablecloth is concerned, the nuisances mentioned above are virtually nonexistent. One great benefit that comes with the territory is the ease with which spills can be dealt with. A wet sponge, soap, and a paper towel generally does the trick.
Additionally, the surface of these objects are usually thick, making it extremely difficult for spilled drinks to seep through the surface of the covering and onto the table. This provides a solid layer of protection to your table.
As for the tugging children issue, there's no need to worry here. By going with a fitted vinyl tablecloth, you can easily avoid the risk of spillage that comes with your traditional table covers.
